Mr. Sitamon Ratanavadi, Assistant to Deputy CEO, Gulf Development Public Company Limited, stated, “GULF has been closely monitoring the evolving situation along the Thai-Cambodian border. We recognize that in times like these, it is imperative for those of us on the home front to contribute by supporting the well-being of affected citizens and providing necessary provisions and equipment for our soldiers performing vital security missions in the region. GULF is dedicated to extending care and assistance. We aspire to be a steadfast source of support, ensuring the welfare of both our citizens and our devoted soldiers. Our aim is to be a continuous force standing in solidarity with everyone through all circumstances, enabling us to overcome this situation together.”

Lt. Gen. Chaiyapruek Duangprapat, Deputy Chief of Staff, the Royal Thai Army, shared, “Regarding the unrest along the Thai-Cambodian border, every Thai soldier remains in strong spirits and is fully prepared to sacrifice for the nation. Although we have lost several personnel and many have been injured, they continue to worry about their comrades and have expressed their desire to return and assist their friends in the area. The Royal Thai Army extends its gratitude to all valiant soldiers for their unwavering dedication to protecting national sovereignty and for upholding the ideals of serving the nation and its land. Furthermore, we wish to express our appreciation to all private sectors and members of the public who have shown kindness and concern for the Army. Even though the Royal Thai Army hasn’t officially opened for donations, many parties have contacted us to inquire about our needs and have provided supplies to our personnel working tirelessly in the border areas. Your support is a significant source of encouragement and immensely beneficial to our brave soldiers. The Royal Thai Army will ensure that all donated items are delivered to our frontline troops for their continued mission. Thank you all sincerely.”

Since the unrest in the Thai-Cambodian border areas, the ‘GULF Asa’ team has distributed over 1,000 ‘GULF Care’ relief bags to displaced people residing in shelters across Buriram, Surin, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces. In addition to the relief bags, GULF also provided some funding for the operational management of these shelters and supplied essential items, such as bedding sets, dried food, drinking water, powdered milk, baby diapers, sanitary pads, and adult diapers. Furthermore, GULF also provided 1.2 million baht in financial assistance to soldiers injured by landmines while conducting patrol operations to safeguard the sovereignty of the Chong Bok area on the Thai-Cambodian border in Ubon Ratchathani province.
