UOB Kay Hian Securities (Thailand) highlighted that Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who also oversees the Interior Ministry, has signed a joint statement reflecting the outcomes of discussions with his Cambodian counterpart.
The signing ceremony drew international attention as it saw both U.S. President Donald Trump and Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim act as official witnesses.
The event also marked recognition from both the United States and Thailand of a series of pending trade agreements between U.S. and Thai companies, involving the agriculture, energy, and aviation sectors.
The brokerage firm emphasized that the positive direction in Thai-Cambodian relations could provide a boost to Thai-listed companies with substantial income exposure to Cambodia. Among those are CBG, which derives approximately 13-15% of its revenue from Cambodia, as well as CPF, BDMS, and SAV, with notable exposure.
