Thailand’s SET Index closed at 1,273.40 points, increased 19.30 points or 1.54%, with a trading value of THB 33.09 billion. The analyst stated that the Thai market surged in opposition to regional trends following the announcement of the upcoming election date, which is scheduled for February 8, 2026. This bolstered the Thai market sentiment and big-cap stocks such as AOT, DELTA, and PTT.
For tomorrow, the analyst expects the Thai market to trade sideways.
A Hong Kong court found Jimmy Lai, the prominent pro-democracy activist and media entrepreneur, guilty of sedition and colluding with foreign forces on Monday.
