On Monday at 11:16 AM (Bangkok time), the share price of Jasmine International Public Company Limited (SET: JAS) rose by 1.79% or THB 0.02 to THB 1.14, with a trading value of THB 23.44 million.
Dr. Soraj Asavaprapha, Chief Executive Officer of JAS, noted a steady growth in subscribers for the English Premier League broadcasting, with the current number reaching 1.8 million. The company anticipates achieving profitability from the second season of its broadcasting rights, citing continued expansion in its subscriber base.
Vietnam, identified as a major market with significant growth potential, is expected to contribute notably to this trend, especially when considering JAS’ current six-season broadcast rights portfolio.
Meanwhile, JAS may standardize its Premier League package pricing to a flat rate of THB 299 per month for next season, up from the THB 199 previously offered to AIS subscribers. The company began its first season of Premier League broadcasting on August 16, 2025, aligning with the opening of the 2025/26 season. The second season (2026/27) is scheduled to follow the league’s regular calendar, commencing in August 2026.
Subscriber growth has been robust in Vietnam, where numbers have surpassed one million. This expansion is attributed in part to the Vietnamese government’s measures cracking down on copyright-infringing websites, prompting more football fans to subscribe legally to online sports platforms.
JAS has also advanced its strategy to become a regional Sports & Entertainment Platform. The company recently secured exclusive broadcast rights from Volleyball World, covering both indoor and beach volleyball matches. The agreement spans seven years and includes over 3,000 matches, marking a record for the number of fixtures under a single rights package. Additionally, JAS obtained rights to broadcast UEFA European Championship (EURO) events for three years, covering 512 matches.
According to Dr. Soraj, gaining seven-year global volleyball rights and a three-year contract for EURO football marks a major step for JAS in internationalizing its content portfolio. These premium sports rights are seen as instrumental in elevating subscription and advertising revenue and enabling long-term business partnerships.
Monomax, the platform under Mono Next Public Company Limited (SET: MONO), will act as the primary network for both live sports broadcasts and on-demand replays, aiming to position itself as a central hub for sports content in Thailand and across Southeast Asia.
JAS’ exclusive broadcasting rights for Volleyball World extend across five Southeast Asian countries: Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia. The sport has seen increasing popularity in the region, particularly in Thailand. These rights include major tournaments such as the Volleyball Nations League (VNL), FIVB Volleyball World Championships, and AVC Continental Championship.
The first major broadcast from this deal, the Volleyball Nations League, will be held in June–July 2026, with Thailand hosting the women’s competition for the second week of the tournament from June 17 to 21, 2026.
On the football front, JAS’ EURO broadcast rights run from 2026 to 2028, covering the UEFA Nations League, UEFA European Qualifiers, friendlies, UEFA U21 Championships 2027, and UEFA EURO 2028.
Dr. Soraj added that Monomax has also expanded internationally through partnerships with Lao Telecom in Laos and FPT Telecom in Vietnam, collectively reaching over 35 million user accounts and adding over one million new members in just two months, highlighting high growth potential in the region.
He emphasized that Monomax will play a central role in delivering high-quality, modern sports viewing experiences to audiences, supported by a robust business ecosystem and technology, to expand the user base and secure lasting business opportunities in Southeast Asia.
