Paweena Jariyathitipong, President of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (SET: AOT), revealed to “Kaohoon” that the company’s recent roadshow in Hong Kong has attracted significant interest from institutional investors and foreign funds. Numerous participants attended the presentation, inquiring about operational results, business plans, investment strategies, and AOT’s future growth.
Foreign investors have maintained confidence in AOT’s management and business direction. Over the past year, the company has been able to execute and advance its plans as communicated to investors, especially the recent progress in increasing the Passenger Service Charge (PSC) for outbound passengers. This adjustment is a key factor reflecting the company management capabilities and the potential for future returns, stated Paweena.
AOT will adjust the PSC for international outbound flights to THB 1,120 per person, up from the current rate of THB 730 per person. The new rate will be effective from June 20, 2026 onwards, and is expected to boost revenue and strengthen long-term operational capabilities.
The investment plans presented to investors include the Suvarnabhumi Airport Master Plan, the THB 12 billion eastern main passenger terminal expansion project (East Expansion), the THB 4 billion inbound baggage handling system project, the Don Mueang Airport development projects, and the THB 120 billion South Terminal construction project to accommodate 70 million passengers per year. The South Terminal project will be divided into 3 phases—according to passenger growth—to avoid excessive financial burden.
Other projects include the THB 20 billion fourth runway construction project, and the THB 200 billion control buildings and public utility systems construction project.
For the THB 29.39 billion third-party apron and ground service project, and the related services for passengers and other activities at Suvarnabhumi Airport, as well as the THB 37.91 billion third-party cargo project at Suvarnabhumi Airport, AOT is preparing to sign contracts with Airports of Thailand Ground Aviation Services Company Limited (AOTGA) in the near future.
