According to Reuters, an Indian plane headed to the U.K. was reported to have crashed in Ahmedabad, a city in the western India, with more than 200 passengers onboard.
Today, Air India airline’s Flight AI171, supposed to head to Gatwick airport in the UK’s London, crashed in a civilian area near Ahmedabad Airport where it was taking off. The officials are currently mobilizing a rescue effort.
Although there is no report of any fatalities or any detail yet, Air India announced there were 242 people onboard, with 220 of them being passengers while the remaining 12 are the crew.
The share price of Boeing Co dropped more than 5% in pre-market on Thursday session following the report.
