BBL reported a net profit of Baht 13,789 million in 3Q25, an increase by 10.5% from the same period of last year. The increase was mainly from gains on financial instruments measured at FVTPL and gains on investments.

Net interest income for the third quarter of 2025 amounted to Baht 30,750 million, declining from the previous quarter and the same period last year. This was in line with the interest rate trends and a slowdown in loan growth amid economic headwinds. The net interest margin for the nine months of 2025 declined to 2.81 percent from a decrease in the yield on earning assets offset by the gradual reduction in funding costs.

Non-interest income for the third quarter of 2025 amounted to Baht 16,913 million, increased 35.7% from gains on financial instruments measured at FVTPL and gains on investments.

For the third quarter of 2025, the Bank’s expected credit losses amounted to Baht 9,742 million, increasing 18.8% from the same period last year. The Bank set aside expected credit losses in line with its consistent prudent approach considering the several economic challenges. These included the impact of adjustments to trade policies among major economic countries and ongoing trade negotiations, as well as domestic factors such as a slowdown in the tourism sector and political uncertainties. The Bank will continue to diligently observe and assess these factors.

As of the end of September 2025, non-performing loan (Gross NPL) totaled Baht 103,404 million. The gross NPL to total loans ratio stood at a manageable level of 3.3 percent. The allowance for expected credit losses was Baht 304,217 million. As a result, the allowance for expected credit losses to NPL ratio was at a strong level of 294.2 percent.
