Iranian Foreign Minister Says “Islamabad MOU Has Never Been Closer”

The latest development of the conflict in the Middle East has shown signs of positivity after Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi says that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding “has never been closer….In line with our responsible and transparent approach, all details will be shared with the public in due course,” he says.

Earlier in the day, Bloomberg reported that negotiations between the United States and Iran are nearing the finalization of a memorandum of understanding. The signing could take place as soon as Sunday in Geneva, in coordination with next week’s G7 leaders’ meeting, a senior G7 official stated.

The document would serve as an interim agreement rather than a lasting resolution. Talks have centered on reopening the Strait of Hormuz, although an Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson disclosed that no definitive conclusion has been reached.
