Thai President Foods Ramps Up Production to Replace ‘Phase 3’ after a Fire Incident

Thai President Foods has made a publication regarding the fire incident at its factory in Rayong Province, Thailand, stating that one of its production phases will be suspended for three working days and that the company has property insurance to cover the damages.

Thai President Foods Public Company Limited (SET: TFMAMA) has announced that a fire incident occurred at a certain area (Branch 3) of its factory located in Rayong Province. The incident took place near the finished goods Phase 2 warehouse which located at 43/244 Moo 4, Huayprab-Pluakdaeng Rd, Tambon Mabyoangporn, Amphoe Pluakdaeng, Rayong Province at approximately 11:00 a.m. on 4th May, 2024. There was one person who sustained arm injury but no fatality. Moreover, the damage occurred to the wall of the finished goods phase 2 warehouse, also the finished goods and packaging materials inside the mentioned warehouse. However, the company has property insurance to cover the damages.

TFMAMA stated that the company is required to suspend the operations at Branch 3 Phase 2, which produces Instant Noodles, at the Rayong factory approximately 3 working days from 6th May to 8th May, 2024 which is expected to resume on 9th May, 2024. However, the production of Instant Noodles Phase 1 and the production of confectionery at Branch 3 at the Rayong factory remain unaffected and continue as usual on 6th May, 2024.

Branch 1, instant noodle production factory Chonburi Province, Branch 2, instant noodle production factory, Lamphun Province, Branch 4 and Branch 5, semi-finished food factory, Ratchaburi Province are still operating normally and will be able to produce enough to replace Branch 3, Phase 2, which has stopped production. Therefore, there is no impact on the sales of the company’s products.
