CPF Establishes JV with Japan’s NH Foods to Target Asian Processed Food Market

Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (SET: CPF) has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that on October 29, 2025, CPF Food and Beverage Co., Ltd. (CPFFB), a subsidiary in which CPF holds 99.99%, will enter into a joint venture agreement with NH Foods Ltd./1 to jointly develop and produce processed foods from pork for distribution in Thailand and across the Asia region, particularly in Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. This will be carried out through the establishment of a joint venture company in Thailand.

The joint venture was called CPF NH Foods Co., Ltd. (CPFNH), and conducted business in the production and distribution of processed foods from meat. CPFNH has a registered capital of THB 1,800 million, with an initial capital of THB 300 million, with both CPFFB and NH Foods holding 51% and 49% of the company’s stake respectively. The company is also scheduled to be incorporated within November 2025.

Following the completion of the company’s establishment in November, the new joint venture company, CPFNH, will acquire the ready-to-eat food factory of CPFFB located in Chachoengsao Province within the first quarter of 2026. The factory will be used for business operations, with a total transaction value of THB 1,800 million.

This joint venture represents a strategic collaboration that combines CPF Group’s strengths in distribution networks and raw material sourcing with expertise in product development and manufacturing standards of NH Foods Ltd. The aim is to develop processed foods from pork for distribution in Thailand and for export, particularly to Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. It also serves to expand CPF’s processed food market into Japan and other Asian countries, with a shared goal of promoting diverse food cultures in both Thailand and Japan.

NH Foods Ltd. was established in 1942 and is currently one of the leading companies in the processed meat industry in Japan. The company operates in 16 countries worldwide, with 202 sales offices, and its common shares are listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

CPFFB is a subsidiary of CPF that engages in the production and distribution of ready-to-eat food products. Currently, CPFFB operates six ready-to-eat food factories in Thailand.
