On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Her Majesty Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck of the Kingdom of Bhutan paid a visit to the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall at the Grand Palace in Bangkok. The Royal Couple laid a wreath to pay their respects to the late Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
On this occasion, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck expressed his wish to attend the royal cremation ceremony and participate in the royal merit-making prayers held at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall.
His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck has long maintained a close and cordial relationship with the Thai royal family. His Majesty has always expressed his deep respect and affection for the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, and all members of the Thai royal family.
