Krungsri Securities (KSS) wrote that international tourist arrivals to Thailand during the period of April 6–12, 2026, totaled 619,000, representing an 8.8% increase week-on-week, attributed to the positive momentum from the Songkran Festival. However, the figure was 7% lower year-on-year.

Positive developments for the week included Chinese tourist arrivals surpassing 100,000 per week for the first time in six weeks. Additionally, arrivals from other countries (excluding the main markets this week: China, Malaysia, South Korea, and the United States) rebounded by 6.9% week-on-week, indicating a gradual improvement in the Middle East situation.

Krungsri assessed a mildly positive sentiment for service sector-related stocks, noting that the recovery coincides with the festival period and may not yet clearly indicate that the impacts from the Middle East have fully passed.

Nevertheless, the market is expected to focus on the easing of risks related to the Middle East in the short-term, which have already peaked. As a result, the brokerage recommends accumulating service and tourism-related stocks, particularly Central Plaza Hotel (CENTEL), Asset World Corp (AWC), and, for those willing to take on higher risk, Minor International (MINT).

In the retail sector, Krungsri emphasized CP Axtra (CPAXT) and CP All (CPALL), as well as hospital stocks like Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) and, for higher risk tolerance, Bumrungrad Hospital (BH).
