Mr. Surasak Phancharoenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, has provided an update on the progress of hosting the globally renowned music festival, Tomorrowland Thailand, which is scheduled to take place at Wisdom Valley in Pattaya from December 11 to 13, 2026. He emphasized that this event will be a significant milestone in advancing Thailand’s transformation towards a high-value tourism destination.
The anticipated economic returns from the festival include an estimated total economic impact of THB 21.38 billion, which is expected to circulate within the Thai economy and directly benefit a wide range of sectors including hotels, restaurants, public transportation, and local service industries.
Additionally, government tax revenues from the event are projected to exceed THB 1.41 billion, while job creation is forecast to reach approximately 21,386 new positions across the tourism, events, logistics, and service sectors. All 150,000 tickets for the three-day festival, with a daily attendance cap of 50,000, have already sold out.
Notably, more than 85% of ticket holders are international visitors from around the globe, led by key markets such as Malaysia (8.5%), Singapore (7.5%), Australia (6.5%), Europe (8%), and the United States (3.5%). As a result, over 22,000 packaged accommodation and ticket deals have also been sold, while more than 250 tour packages for pre- and post-event travel have seen robust demand, drawing in high-spending, long-stay tourists to Thailand.
These travel packages typically include tours within Thailand in the one to two weeks before and after the festival, thereby maximizing the benefits to the country’s tourism sector during this period.
Mr. Chaiyapat Paitoon, Chief Financial Officer of Minor International Public Company Limited (SET: MINT), told ‘Kaohoon’ that the hosting of Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 is expected to drive strong demand in the hospitality sector, supporting higher average daily rates (ADR) in the market. He noted positive forward booking trends for MINT’s Pattaya hotels in December 2026, as well as a significant uptick in ADR. The company continues to closely monitor advance bookings, adjust pricing strategies, and enhance service readiness to meet the anticipated demand surge.
Ms. Tawanna Termwattanakorn, Investor Relations at The Erawan Group Public Company Limited (SET: ERW), stated that the upcoming Tomorrowland festival in Pattaya will be a major boon for the company’s hotel business in the area. ERW operates four hotels in Pattaya, ranging from budget to five-star properties. Of these, three hotels—Holiday Inn Pattaya, Mercure Pattaya, and Ibis Pattaya—participated in bundled package offerings that combined accommodation with festival tickets, all of which have now sold out. Although HOP INN Pattaya did not join the bundled deals, the company anticipates it will still benefit from heightened room demand during the festival period.
Advance bookings for December have shown a marked improvement, largely driven by festival-related demand. This trend coincides with Thailand’s high tourism season, supporting the expectation that bookings will continue to climb as the event approaches.
Mr. Gun Srisompong, CFO & VP Finance and Administration at Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Limited (SET: CENTEL), disclosed that forward occupancy rates for CENTEL’s Pattaya hotels during Tomorrowland 2026 are running at a robust 70-80%. Moreover, room rates have risen significantly compared to other periods, underscoring the intense accommodation demand from festival attendees.
Mr. Koraphat Vorachet, Division Head of Research at Krungsri Securities (KSS), stated that the arrival of a world-class festival like Tomorrowland in Thailand is a major positive for the country’s tourism and hotel industry, particularly in the Eastern region and Pattaya. Tickets for the event are fully sold out, with over 85% owned by foreign tourists. This high foreign attendance bodes well for surging demand in hotels and related services during the festival period.
Mr. Koraphat highlighted ERW as a clear beneficiary, given its marketing strategy of bundling hotel stays with festival tickets, which is expected to boost earnings in the final quarter of the year. CENTEL is also likely to enjoy positive momentum from increased room demand in the area.
Kasikorn Securities (KS) noted that the government announcement of sold-out Tomorrowland Thailand tickets—totaling 150,000 and with more than 85% being international tourists—should bring THB 21.4 billion in economic activity, over THB 1.4 billion in tax revenue, and upwards of 21,000 jobs. The event is also seen as strengthening Thailand’s positioning as a global entertainment hub.
This development is regarded as a positive for tourism, hotel, airport, retail, and transportation stocks, including ERW, CENTEL, MINT, AWC, and AOT, reflecting the expected uptick in international arrivals and domestic spending towards the end of 2026.
