Nestlé is intensifying its digital transformation in pursuit of becoming an “intelligent enterprise” seamlessly connected from farm to fork, powered by real-time data and artificial intelligence (AI).
Central to this transformation is the deployment of “NesGPT,” Nestlé’s secure, generative AI platform now used by over 80,000 employees globally. According to an internal survey, NesGPT allows workers to save an average of 45 minutes per week in content creation and information retrieval.
Previously, Nestlé relied on a legacy network based on multi-protocol label switching (MPLS), which—although reliable—lacked the agility needed for rapid expansion, such as rolling out marketing campaigns or supporting remote operations. With a global footprint encompassing 1,700 sites and more than 350 factories, often in remote areas near agricultural sources, Nestlé’s operations demand robust, reliable data and AI support.
Singtel was selected to rebuild Nestlé’s digital backbone, providing its Cube solution as the orchestration layer for unified network management. This allows Nestlé to monitor performance, security, and traffic across diverse network types—including private 5G, MPLS, and satellite—from a single platform. Cube reduces complexity, offers observability, and enables automation, providing insights into network health from remote plantations to central data centers.
Cube enables Nestlé to gain unified visibility and observability, streamlining their global infrastructure, said Ng Tian Chong, CEO of Singtel Singapore. This goes beyond dashboards, ensuring uninterrupted business processes regardless of underlying technology disruptions.
