Flight operations at Dubai International Airport were temporarily halted on Monday after a fire broke out near the facility’s fuel tanks, linked to a drone incident. The disruption led to immediate emergency measures.
A blaze erupted in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport after a drone-related event caused damage to a fuel tank, according to local officials. Dubai Civil Defence teams responded quickly, deploying resources to contain the fire and implementing safety procedures throughout the surrounding area.
Authorities stated that there were no reported injuries and that response teams acted promptly to mitigate the risk.
The Dubai Media Office confirmed via social media that damage had been inflicted on a fuel tank near the airport due to the drone incident. Emergency services managed to extinguish the fire, later declaring it under control.
Officials emphasized that all relevant safety protocols were activated to protect nearby residents, employees, and ongoing airport operations.
