Thailand’s government spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub announced on Tuesday that the Cabinet has agreed to withdraw the Entertainment Complex Bill from the parliament agenda, following a proposal from the Ministry of Finance.
The decision comes after the recent cabinet reshuffle and the recognition that the bill involves significant social considerations that require additional time for public understanding and engagement.
The bill, originally put forward by the Ministry of Finance, aimed to regulate the operation of integrated entertainment complexes through a dual committee system, establishing both a policy committee and a management committee.
These committees would oversee the administrative office responsible for issuing operational licenses, setting regulatory criteria, and implementing standards and supervisory measures to ensure appropriate and standardized management of such complexes.
